Neil Stewart is an Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon holding Fellowship of both the New Zealand Orthopaedic Association and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

During his training, Neil was recognised with the House Surgeon of the Year award from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Counties Manukau), the winning paper at the NZOA Research Paper Day for his work on tension band wiring of olecranon fractures, and runner-up honours at the AOS R. Nicholson Research Symposium for his research into enhanced recovery following total hip arthroplasty.

Before becoming a doctor, Neil worked as a physiotherapist, giving him a unique perspective on patient care. This background provides a strong understanding of movement, function and rehabilitation, enabling him to take a holistic approach to treatment. He carefully considers both non-surgical and surgical options, supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation to achieve the best possible functional outcomes.
